Danielle ran a successful yoga and wellbeing studio. Her classes were full, she had loyal members, and her business looked solid from the outside. But every cancellation knocked her confidence. Every slow week made her question if she was doing something wrong or if she was even cut out for owning a business. Every social media post with no reactions or interaction made her feel like a failure.

It’s something I see all the time in fitness and wellbeing businesses. The external signs of success are there, but inside, it feels unstable. The emotional highs and lows become exhausting. You take every challenge personally, and your self-belief gets chipped away bit by bit.

When I first spoke to Danielle, she thought she needed more strategy but she was also aware that she simply didn’t have time to do more. She was exhausted and more of the same wasn’t going to work. She needed something different but she didn’t know what. I didn’t give her a new business strategy. I helped her change the lens she was using to interpret what was happening. Changing your perspective and learning to reframe situations are powerful tools to help you stay in an abundant positive mindset that is resilient.

Danielle shifted from asking “Why is this happening to me?” to “What’s this showing me?”

That shift had a ripple effect – when she stopped interpreting every challenge as a failure (or a personal attack) and started seeing it as feedback, she gained back her power, she was able to think clearly, take action and make decisions based on facts, not fear.

Danielle began to notice where things had become unclear in her messaging and onboarding. She tightened up her offers, set clearer boundaries with clients, and got intentional about the kind of business she actually wanted to build.

She didn’t overhaul everything. She adjusted her perspective and made small but significant changes.

She didn’t add a huge number of tasks to her to-do list, she simply tweaked what was already in place and happening.

This is the real work I do with my clients. Without mindset work, even the best strategy falls flat.

So if you’re constantly second-guessing yourself or feeling thrown off by every setback, ask yourself if the problem is really the business, or if it’s your mindset that needs attention. Sometimes an hour learning how to shift your perspective and reframe what is happening is all you need to reset yourself and start moving forward with excitement not dread. The moment you take your challenges less personally, you’ll start showing up differently and your business will reflect that shift.
